遇到解不開的問題,如果別人告訴我怎麼解題,
即使當時懂了,也會很快忘記,
因為並沒有完全變成自己的知識。
但是,自己花了很長時間,
絞盡腦汁解出的問題不會忘記。

日本語の勉強を再スタート(もう一度) 【1】

日本語の勉強を再スタート(もう一度)
Learning Japanese from start (again)
日語之重新開始(再)
【1】基本的なこと The Basics 基本事項

I shall keep an open mind and relearn.
So this is my first official chapter on relearning!
*claps*
我要拋棄固有偏見,重新學習。
這是我重新學習的第一章!
(掌聲鼓勵鼓勵一下)

As I have mentioned in post【0】,I have decided to go for official Japanese Language lessons.
就如同我在第【0】篇提到的,我去上正式的日語課了。

First lecture was nothing much. Most of the time was used to introduce the module and advertise the higher level modules.
第一堂講堂課沒什麼。大部份時間都用在介紹課程和宣傳更高級別的課。

I shall crap a bit before writing about the first lecture…
先寫點廢話再寫第一堂課的東西…

Since it is a language module, I do not have to pay extra fees for lessons… But is there a need for so many textbooks (the textbooks are not cheap)?! When I think of the fact that I have to get a new set when I move on to higher levels, I just want to grumble for a bit.
既然是一個語言選修課程,學費不用另外繳… 但是需要用到的課本也太多本了吧?!想到如果要繼續修讀的話,每升一級就要再買一套就很想抱怨。呃哇,大出血…

But if you don't pay, you won't work hard, isn't it?
大概不「交點學費」就不會好好學習吧…?

Textbooks, Workbook, Kanji Guide, Grammar Notes... I just flipped through these compulsory textbooks, maybe I will share about it in later posts. The one on Kanji... It feels like primary/elementary school students learning stroke orders of Chinese character to me.
課本,練習簿,漢字練習簿,語法筆記… 只是簡單地翻了翻這些課本,以後可能會稍微分享一下。漢字的練習簿… 感覺就是小學生在學漢字的筆順。

Knowing how to read and write Chinese (especially Traditional Chinese characters) gives you an advantage in the learning of writing Kanji, since you do not have to start from scratch, learning the stroke orders (unless your stroke orders are all over place).
Through writing Kanji, I realised that I have been writing some Chinese characters wrongly for as long as I can write that word. There are also slight differences between Japanese Kanji and Chinese characters.
There are downsides of knowing how to read Chinese (at least that is the case for me). I tend to read and understand the Kanji as Chinese (=.=). It is detrimental in the learning how to read Japanese.
會中文的話,學習漢字的問題應該不大… 因為不用從比劃學起嘛(除非你說你的中文很爛,比劃也亂七八糟)。
日本漢字和漢語漢字也不太一樣。漢語還分了簡體和繁體字,讓學習變得更複雜…
雖然會看漢字能加快學習,但對讀音沒有太多幫助… 而且可能會掉入認字不認音的陷阱(那就是我)。

Enough of all the crap.
廢話到此為止。

The first thing that I am required to memorise…
It's not hiragana or katakana.
It's greetings and useful expressions.
Huh?!
被要求記下的第一樣東西不是平假名或是片假名。
是招呼用語和常用的句子。
誒~~

But come to think of it, it is really true that people tend to be able to say “Ohayou gozaimasu” (good morning), “Arigatou” (thank you), “Sayonara” (bye bye) when they think of Japanese Language.
“Irrashaimase” (welcome) is a bit tougher, but you can hear it in Japanese restaurants or stores like Daiso.
Normally people learn these simple but important phrases by listening and modelling after the pronounciation.
You won't start from reading kana.
不過想想也對,通常說到日語,不諳日語的人也會想到 “Ohayou gozaimasu” (早安), “Arigatou” (謝謝) 或者 “Sayonara” (再見)。
Irrashaimase(歡迎光臨)有點挑戰性,但在日本餐廳或者大創這類店都可以聽到。
人們通常會通過聽和模仿發音來學這些雖簡單卻很重要的詞彙。
的確是不會從假名下手。

挨拶と便利なフレーズ
Greetings and useful expressions
招呼和常用表達用語

Greetings are very important in Japanese culture (actually it is important to all cultures). Don't Japanese give people the impression that they are very polite?
打招呼在日本文化中是非常重要的(其實不管對哪個文化來說都很重要)。日本人總是給人很有禮貌的印象,不是嗎?

★ 挨拶(あいさつ aisatsu) / Greetings / 招呼用語 ★

For the pronounciation, you can copy and paste the Japanese words to Google Translate (Japanese) and get it to read it to you. Really useful as a reference for pronunciation of short phrases.
學習發音的話,可以把日語詞彙剪貼到谷歌翻譯(要選日語)。對於學習簡短的發音的參考非常有用。

Just some really important phrases:
列舉幾個非常重要的詞彙:

 (名前)です。

問題:お名前(なまえ)は?(O-namae wa?)
Q:What's your name?
問:你的名字是?

答え:____です。( ____ desu.)
A:My name is ____.
答:我的名字叫 ____。

For self-introduction / 自我介紹:
私の名前は____です。
My name is ____.
我的名字叫 ____。

★ ありがとう arigatou
Thank you (casual)
謝謝(較隨意)

★ ありがとうございます arigatou gozaimasu
Thank you (polite)
謝謝(有禮)

The polite form is used when you are talking to people of higher status or to your elders. Just use the polite form (which is usually longer) when in doubt.
這個形式通常用於和長輩或地位較高的人的對話中。不确定的時候就用這個形式,較有禮貌的表達方式通常比較長。

★ すみません sumimasen
I am sorry / Thank you (for your trouble) / Excuse me
對不起 / 失禮了 / 不好意思

「すみません」is a very useful phrase, just keep it in mind.
「すみません」真的很好用,稍微留意一下。

★ お願(ねが)いします onegaishimasu
Please (speaker is making a request)
拜託您… / 請您…(請求的語氣)

★ どうぞ douzo
Please (speaker is offering something that is good for the listener)
請(務必…)

「お願いします」is what you use when you are submitting your homework to your teacher, not「どうぞ」since homework is not something very pleasant for a teacher…

交作業給老師時要說「お願いします」而不是「どうぞ」,因為批改作業對老師來說不是很愉快的事…

★ どうも doumo
Thanks (formal/casual depending on relationship of speaker and listener)
謝謝 / 非常謝謝你…

Sometimes it may appear as「どうもありがとうございます」。
也會以「どうもありがとうございます」的形式出現。

★ おはよう ohayou
Good morning (casual)
早安

★ おはようございます ohayou gozaimasu
Good morning (polite)
早上好 / 早安(有禮)

★ こんにちは konnichiwa
Good afternoon
下午好

★ こんばんわ konbanwa
Good evening
晚上好

★ おやすみなさい oyasuminasai
Good night
晚安

For children who are learning how to speak… Don't parents always teach them how to say “Papa/Daddy” and “Mama/Mommy” first?
對於那些牙牙學語的孩子… 父母不是總會先教孩子怎麼叫「爸爸」和「媽媽」嗎?

(That is a whole different story altogether.)
(那是另一回事。)

When you learn a language as a first language, it is different from learning when you are older.
將一種語言當作第一語言學習和長大後學習是不一樣的。

It would be really great to be able to acquire as many languages as you can from young, but unfortunately most people knows only one or two (at most three including a dialect) languages from young.
能在懂事之年就對多種語言有所接觸真的很讓人羨慕。但很遺憾的是,多數人只懂一兩種(加上方言的話最多三種)語言,那是從小習得的。

I believe that knowing different languages gives you a broader view, as in you can “see” more.
我相信懂得越多語言就能看得更多更廣。

As Japanese shows and literature reviews seems to like to use (for I don't know what reason):
就像我不知道為什麼)日劇和文學作品介紹好像很喜歡用的

「世界観 (せかいかん)」

It literally means “world view”.
An outlook on the world or more simply how people see the world.
世界觀。
人們對世界的看法和觀點。

I don't know how to explain, as I still cannot get the essense of this word.
我不懂怎麼解釋,因為我還是無法抓到這個詞的精髓。

It should be quite easy for me in the first few lessons since it is just getting use to important phrases. But after the grammatical stuff comes in, I really don't know how I will do…
現在還算輕鬆,因為只是熟悉一下重要的短句。但語法的東西進來後我就不知道了…

I cannot emphasise how much I hate memorising things.
So I tend to spend a lot of time in learning (sometimes I just give up).
我非常非常非常討厭背東西。
所以我常常走遠路(或者乾脆放棄)。

I used a method that seems kind of stupid to learn kana. I should not say it's stupid, I correct it, it's a slower method.
我用了感覺有點愚蠢的方式,喔,不可以說愚蠢,應該說是比較慢的方式學習假名。

I will write about the method I used to learn kana and some other methods I have seen in the next post. (I feel that there is a need for me to review the stroke orders of kana anyways…)
我會在下一篇中寫寫我用的方式和我看過的學習方式。(反正我覺得自己有必要再看看假名的筆畫…)

Just test out all the methods you can find and use a method that suits you (or at least you believe so). Just my experience.
試試所有你能找到的方式,然後用你覺得最適合自己的方式。單純的走了遠路的人的經驗。

Rather than believing in myself, I believe that continuing is more important.
比起相信自己,我更相信只要繼續下去就好了。

Just a simple introduction here.

I am interested in translation, Japanese Language, Japanese culture, Japanese Detective/Mystery/Crime fiction, Japanese dramas (Mystery/Family) and to a lesser extent anime.

I watch Doraemon and Crayon shin chan, both are interesting and good avenues for learning Japanese. I like Pokémon a lot, but I haven't been watching the recent episodes. XY series is not very appealing to me (I already have my favourite series~).

An Arashi fan here!

(My blog posts are primarily written in Chinese, sorry to those who don't read Chinese…

I also have a small request… Please don't use an online translator to translate my blog content.

Online translators are really useful for learning and I use it very often. It is useful for translating words and phrases to help in rough understanding, but translating large chunks of content simply makes no sense, since different languages have different structures and rules that an accesible artificial intelligence at this point of time cannot translate and restructure fully.

If there is anything in the blog you desperately want to know what it is about, you can comment below the post and ask me. I will answer to my best.

Arigatou gozaimasu.)

簡單的自我介紹一下。

我對翻譯、日語、日本文化、日本推理小說、日劇(推理劇/家庭劇)還有動漫有興趣。

對動漫沒有很熱衷。現在有在看哆啦A夢和蠟筆小新,兩者都是有趣又不錯的日語學習管道。神奇寶貝的話,最近已經沒看了。我是很喜歡神奇寶貝,但是最新的XY系列不是很吸引我(而且我已經有心水了~)。

還有嵐飯在此!

I am just a student, relearning Japanese. I am doing this for my own learning and perhaps some sort of sharing. But if my learning experience is sort of useful for your learning of Japanese language and culture, it's my pleasure.
我只是個在重新學習日語的學生。這只是為了我自己的學習(也許還有一些分享的成份)而寫的。如果我的學習經歷對你學習日語和日本文化幫助的話,那是我的榮幸。

これからもよろしくお願いします。
